Six Across uses buttons you can operate with a keyboard, a text description of each board, and status messages when you make a move. Entrance, exit, sparks and blocked tiles have symbols as well as color.

Using a keyboard

Use Tab to reach links, puzzle controls and available tiles. Enter or Space selects a tile. Arrow keys move between the available rows in the current column. When a tile has focus, Backspace undoes a move and R restarts. You can also use the labeled Undo and Restart buttons.

Take your time

There is no timer or sound. The site respects your device’s reduced-motion preference. You can enlarge text in your browser, and the board’s text description lists the coordinates of its entrance, exit, sparks and obstacles.
